Kumasaka Industries' RS09 laser SMG is one of the best solutions against shielded targets. Its rapid fire rate allows it to cut through shielding even quicker than conventional lasers. It works by magnetically propelling a series of densely packed, 'bullets' of electrons along focused beams of LAS medium. This medium excites the electrons until they are at a very high energy level, converting some to photons as a byproduct. On contact the energy is transferred to the target causing damage, especially to objects susceptible to electromagnetic interference.
